Welcome to The Hill

Our journey began with a bit of a crazy idea to walk away from international corporate careers and invest in a quality piece of land ‘back home’ in the beautiful rolling hills of Gippsland.

We decided early on that if we were going to do it, we were going to do it right.

And since 2005, that’s what we have been doing, raising cattle, growing grapes and producing fodder with no expense spared and no detail overlooked.

Owner

Brett stepped away from an international career in project management to focus on producing quality wine, cattle and fodder in the Gippsland area.

He applies the keen eye for detail and obsession with quality that served him well as he led major projects and has created a fresh new brand that is rapidly being recognised in the Gippsland area.

Terri McGrane

Owner

Leaving behind her busy days as an Executive Assistant, Terri dove right into the fresh challenge of overseeing a growing agriculture business.

With a passion for the Gippsland area and a commitment to quality that’s only rivalled by partner Brett, Terri has been instrumental in managing the day to day running of the estate.

John McGrane

Vineyard Manager

John is retired from the fast pace city life and now manages the day to day work of the vineyard.

Enjoying red wine for many years has allowed John to understand that wine made with love and time makes the best wine. With help from our wine- maker John improves the Pinot vintage year on year.
